What a Starter Website Includes

What a 1 to 3 page starter website includes, what it leaves out, and how JD quotes the work before it starts.

You want a website, and you want to know what you are getting before you say yes. This page is that list, in plain language, for a shop, office, or clinic. D3 IT Solutions Inc is veteran-owned and based in Texas, serving businesses nationwide. A starter website is a 1 to 3 page site. Here is what it covers, what it leaves out, and how a later change is handled.

JD Savage quotes the work after a short conversation and confirms the scope before you owe anything. The public site does not publish a price list. If something is not described here, ask on the contact page.

What the starter site includes

The starter website is a 1 to 3 page site. It includes design, a layout that works on phones, basic SEO, and launch. You also get a contact section with a click-to-call phone link and an email link. A customer can tap the number or open an email. They do not fill out a form.

One page can say who you are and what you do. A second can list services. A third can hold hours and the contact section. You do not have to use all three. Launch means the site goes live. You work directly with JD, remotely. There is no office visit and no street address.

What it leaves out

A contact form is not included. It can be added later as its own piece of work, after JD writes the estimate and you approve it. There is no assumed add-on. If you want the form, say so up front.

Online booking is not part of the starter site. A store, where someone pays you on the website, is not part of it either. If you need booking or a store, say so on the contact page and JD will quote it. Do not expect those features inside the starter site.

More than three pages is a different project. The next step is a larger small-business website. It is phone-friendly, on your own domain, and it can include contact forms, online booking links, and click-to-call. That site is usually paired with ongoing care. JD describes both on the call and sends one written quote. There is no public checkout on this website.

After the site is built

The starter build is the site itself. It does not, by itself, keep the site online forever. Hosting and upkeep can cover hosting, the certificate, backups, and security updates, including the certificate that lets a browser show a secure connection instead of a warning. You can pay attention to that monthly or once a year. JD confirms what you need first. He does not publish the amount on this site.

Changes after launch

A single fix is one specific issue, such as a broken page or a mobile layout problem. You see the quote before the work starts.

Bigger work waits for an estimate, and the work waits until you approve it. If you do not approve the estimate, you are not billed for that work.

If you would rather not approve edits one at a time, an optional website care plan can include hosting, the certificate, software and security updates, backups, and content edits up to 1 hour a month. Unused time does not roll over. Care is the upgrade when you want regular text or photo changes. It is optional. If the site can sit still, basic hosting and upkeep is the smaller arrangement. JD writes that quote on the call.

What to send JD

The build goes more smoothly when a few things arrive at the start:

  • Your logo, if you have one
  • Photos you have the right to use
  • A plain list of services
  • Your hours
  • The phone number and email you want customers to use
  • The towns you serve

You do not need finished paragraphs. Notes are fine. JD will ask if something important is missing.

Typical time from the day JD has what he needs to a live starter site: as quick as a day, and up to 1 week

A site and a Facebook page can share the work

If the business already lives on Facebook, keep posting there. The starter site is the page you own, with hours, services, and a phone number in one place. Link the site from Facebook, and link Facebook from the site. If you are still deciding whether you need a site at all, read Do I need a website if my business is already on Facebook?.
