Navy Veteran-Owned

Website snapshot

Enter a homepage address. This check looks at a few public basics and shows a plain-English summary on this page. It is a quick look, not a verdict. No obligation. D3 IT Solutions Inc is Navy veteran-owned and works with small businesses nationwide, remotely.

Check my website

We only check the homepage address you enter. Nothing is emailed unless you ask for a follow-up below. See the privacy note.

How it works

  1. Enter your website.

Just the homepage address. No login or passwords needed.

  2. We run a quick, polite check.

We load your homepage like a visitor would, look at its security certificate, and test a few of its links. We don't submit forms or change anything.

  3. See the summary on this page.

A plain-English summary of what the check could see. You can optionally ask JD to follow up. The check itself does not send email.

What we check

Each line matches one check this page really runs. Nothing else is promised.

  1. Your site loads securely (HTTPS). We make sure your homepage opens over a secure connection, and tell you if it only works over plain, unsecured HTTP or doesn't respond at all. A certificate that is invalid, untrusted, or doesn't match the site name fails this check too.
  2. Your security certificate (SSL). We check that it's valid, trusted by browsers, matches your website name, and isn't expired, not yet active, or expiring within 14 days. Certificate problems are what trigger the "Not secure" warning in browsers.
  3. Visitors get sent to the secure version. If someone types http://, does your site redirect them to https://?
  4. Your homepage loads without errors. We flag error pages like "404 Not Found" or "500 Server Error". If the secure address fails or returns an error and the plain HTTP address returns the homepage, we check that HTTP page and say so.
  5. No insecure pieces on a secure page. We look for images, scripts, or styles still loaded over plain HTTP (called "mixed content"), which can break the padlock.
  6. It's set up for phones. We check for the mobile viewport setting that tells phones to show a phone-sized layout instead of a shrunken desktop page.
  7. How long the homepage takes to load. We time the homepage response. Over 3 seconds is slower. Over 8 seconds is very slow. This is not a full browser speed test.
  8. Broken links. We test up to 8 links on your homepage that point to other pages on your own site, and flag any that return "not found" or a server error.
  9. A way to contact you. We look for a contact form (including common form tools), an email link, a visible email address, a phone link, or a phone number written on the homepage.
  10. An up-to-date footer. If your copyright year is 2 or more years old, the site may look neglected to visitors.

What this check doesn't cover

It's a quick homepage check, not a full audit. It doesn't scan for malware or hacked content, review every page, run a full speed or SEO audit, or check your Google Business Profile. A contact form that's built by JavaScript after the page loads might not show up, so we'll say so instead of claiming you have no form.

This check does not look for malware. If you think someone else changed the site, mention that when you book a call.

Your privacy

The check uses the homepage address you enter and shows the result here. We don't store the page we download. If you ask for a follow-up, we save your name, email, that website address, and a short summary so JD can reply. We never sell or share your information. You can ask us to delete it by writing to jd.savage@d3itsolutions.net. Read the privacy policy.
